~~Capital PUNISHMENT~~

In the US alone, during the 20th century//

Seven thousand lives lost, to the state penetensionary//

Not One innocent man, ...Hah’ I think not//

Still when you murder a murderer, murder’s what you got//

Taught to ‘forgive & forget’, or are we just lying//

Cause what’s the use of forgetting, if it’s followed by dying//

They used to fry em’ in chairs, now its lethal injection//

Who’s the winner in this?, where’s the chance for correction//

Under closer inspection, by the dissection people//

By killing a killer, do we become of their equal?//

In life there’s no sequel, cause the end is the end//

And if another life’s taken, will a broken heart mend//

Comprehend the condemned, in his last day’s//

Living for death, watch as an atheist preys//

In the dark he stays, behind the bar’s of Jail//

Gaze to stars at night, with no chance of bail//

They say an ‘eye for an eye’, but is Murder worth death//

And is it not the same, when you take a killer’s breath//
